Workshop Week 2 Professional Development for Computing

Considering my last year, this half year of graduation and other my social activities when somebody asked the "what are your strengths" question, I may respond by saying something along the lines of, "I prefer others to present my strong qualities". Some may try an opposing tactic by boasting and glorifying their achievements. The qualities, strength and skills that I was able to develop within this short period are listed below:

Skills and Qualities:

·         Excellence Communication skills.

Weakness:

·         Nervousness

·         High Temper

Apart from this, there we can find other difference quality, strength and skills that I was able to collect with this period of time as well as there we are some weakness which I would like to reduce within this coming year and also I would like to develop some knowledge based quality

While visiting Guardian Jobs website I was quite interested in applying for Senior Web Developer in near future. The skills and some knowledge based quality required for the job are clearly mention below:

Knowledge based skilled needed for the job of senior web developer are mention below:

·         CSS, IIS, WPF (Optional)

·         LINQ or Entity Framework

·         Unit testing frameworks

·         Managed server configuration.

·         Knowledge of PRINCE2, Lean and Agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP etc.

·         Experience of PHP, MySQL, Tomcat, Linux

·         Experience of Database design and development with Oracle and SQL Server,

including PL/SQL and T/SQL

·         Application development skills using ASP.NET, C#.NET, ADO.NET, XML, Web

Services and Linq in an OO environment

Other personal skills required for the job are:

“Kick Nepal”, An online bidding site for those who love football more than themselves. It was my final year project for Bsc.(Hons) Computing.

This site specially include the English Premier Ledge matches where each and every user can make a prediction of score (goal) from their unique username. After the matches was over admin insert the formal match result (score). Taking this to an account of consideration the systems tally the user prediction to that of formal score from the admin. If the real score matched the score from the user prediction then 3 points will be added to the account of the user. If the score matched with only one side then 1 point is added whenever there is wrong prediction then no point is provided. Finally, at the end of the month all the points count together to generate the real winner for the specific month.
